JOURNEY OF THE 5 SENSES
Spatial organisation is a key consideration for architects in architectural design. The study and exploration of different spatial organization methods is important in design because it informs human occupation, behavior, and experience within architectural spaces. Writers such as Francis D.K. Ching labeled this as architectural ‘order’ whilst Alexander Purves called this ‘the formal patterns’. Project 1 is an introductory project by which we are required to propose 2 schemes for a Memorial themed ‘journey for the 5 senses’.
PRECEDENT STUDIES: Analysing spatial poetics & spatial typologies in architecture
As part of this, the objective of Project 1a is to identify and analyze spatial order and spatial poetics through precedent studies. We are to analyse the spatial poetics & spatial typology of the selected precedents. One precedent is pre-modern movement, and another one should be contemporary. Also, one precedent must be linear, and the other concentric.

Tech-Trap:
" It brings us much convenience and helps us to save time, it is technology." However, technology is also a trap to us if we do not use it wisely. We get addicted and spent too much time on it hence neglect what is happening around us in real life. Therefore, our design for this memorial is meant for people to realise the dark side of technology thus advising people to use it wisely.

Com-Pac::
A memorial that allows us to experience how people adapt to the rapid change of technology. Copied with the magnified topography with its breathtaking views of the city skyline and forest, the dialogue between boldness of form and the romanticism of the landscape creates a unique statement to illustrate how the compact technology brought us convenience and a clearer viewpoint of the other side of the world.
