Final Design Proposal: Twilight In Transition

A diverse and vibrant melting pot of culture, where art, music, and food coexist, is how the site is perceived in the eyes of visitors and the media. However, as one continues to explore and immerse oneself into the site’s atmosphere and scenario, the experience becomes run-of-the-mill. The previously active and vibrant cultural street with mural art, is no longer the interest of the general public, where food is the only element that attracts visitors. Time, is also the crux behind the segregation of people and cultures, consequently affecting the activities on site throughout the day. Hence, the city lobby aims to bring alive the essence of art while adapting to the site’s changes in activities.

The role of the city lobby as the Twilight: a beacon of light and a definite reflection of Malaysia’s diverse community where different user groups not only coexist but also interact. In Transition: the time gap, is when the city lobby blossoms and spirited, through different art forms, namely mural art, with culinary art as supporting elements The city lobby brings alive elements from different periods of the day to open users’ minds to different ways of seeing and experiencing the vibrant potential of the site, exposing them to cultures and people segregated by time, fostering communal interaction and providing a platform that inspires and delivers the excellency of art.
